Mercury as he was known to the Romans, or Hermes in the ancient Greek polytheistic religion, is the son of Zeus and messenger of the gods. He is the god of trade, travel, and communication, often depicted with wings on his head and with a caduceus (a staff entwined with two snakes). Hermes was also a guide for souls to the underworld and a protector of travelers.
His association with magic is significant, as Hermes was considered the god of boundaries, transitions, and trickery. He was linked to the art of divination and the transmission of magical knowledge. Hermes was believed to possess the ability to move freely between the mortal and divine worlds, making him a master of mystical arts, particularly in Hermeticism, a spiritual tradition that reveres him as a symbol of wisdom and occult knowledge.
The artistic workshop LOGOS 373 wanting to honor the god of inner mysteries and Alchemy, offers to all practitioners -regardless of neopagan or occult tradition- for their personal home altar, few wooden boxes especially decorated with the god’s face.
Each box is hand painted by the artisan of our workshop daemon Melissyios, with Herme’s halo in 22k gold leaf and the wings in embossed metal. The size of each box is 5.5X11.5 cm (exterior dimensions) and 10.5X10.5X3.50 (interior dimensions).
Optionally, you can get the box together with 3 incenses of our production suitable for the worship of the Hermes, 3 charcoals and a small porcelain container for burning the incense.
May its joyous fragrance make the magician’s soul blossom so that with the flower of nous opened, he may envision the winged lord in all his mysterious glory.
