An Altar Chalice is a special cup, a vessel for special occasions. This ceremonial goblet has two impressed pentacles opposite in an iron wash on the bowl. The bowl bottom has a pattern of cobalt blue oak leaves surrounding it. The base has a brown band with a lightning pattern incised through. The base has a six sided textured raised finger ridge. This chalice has an Alfred matte brown glaze, which shows the iron spots of reduction flame firing. Lined with the same smooth glaze it is easy to clean and great for your table or your altar.
I make these as one of a kind because I like each one to be different, so watch for others to add to your collection if you want a set! This is a perfect size for at least six to ten people in ceremony or a toast at 7 inches tall, by 4 inches wide at the base. Holds 14 ounces. It is thrown in two pieces and joined, light and comfortable in the hand.

The skin looks great. I mounted it on a djembe, and it seems strong and of good quality
