For your consideration is a monumental and very heavy antique bronze mortar and pestle. The mortar measures 5.5″ high by 5″ wide; the pestle measures 8 7/8″ long; and both pieces together weight 7 pounds and 4 ounces (3,357 grams). As shown on the last two photos, there are signs of wear such as dents, consistent with age and use.
