An unusual rare vintage incense burner made in France by Vantines. No. 1311. I believe this was the largest incense burner they ever made.
This is a beautiful Vantine’s incense burner with stylized flora, and it has all its patina intact. It’s heavy for its size, made of spelter bronze. Will take several charcoal tabs, and the insert is a separate piece inside. It is complete with lid and insert. There are no cracks, dents, repairs. Just a great piece from Vantines NYC. It is marked on the bottom “Vantines”, made in France and the number 1311. It has a goldtone finish.
Good vintage condition. Some wear to inside of bowl insert, and it is ever so slightly off balance with the feet. It is rare to find this burner in one piece and in such fine shape. If you like it in the pictures you’ll love it when you get it.
A Vantine’s postcard of the old store in NYC included free.
Overall height is 11″ and 5 3/4″ at it’s widest point.
